When Max is contacted by his son, he is determined to find him. He discovers that their spaceship is hidden in the basement of a convenience store. He and Liz come up with a plan in which, while pretending to rob the store, Max could check the ship. However, things don't go as expected, and Max and Liz are caught and arrested. Their parents arrive to help them to prepare for a hearing to determine whether they will go to trial. Nancy disagrees with Philip about whether they should accept a deal and Jeff is angry at Max and believes he forced Liz to rob the store.
