Although Liz continues to go out with Kyle, she seems to be more interested in Max. Kyle's friends notice this and beat Max up. Meanwhile, Liz's grandmother Claudia comes for a visit. When Claudia has a stroke, the Parkers all rush to the hospital with her. Liz's mother, Nancy, played by Jo, and Liz's father, Jeff, wait with Liz at the hospital to be with Claudia.
