Synopsis Of Series:
This show takes place in the fictional town of Cicely, Alaska. The main character is Dr. Joel Fleischman. He is forced to stay in Cicely despite his dislike for it, while serving as a doctor in order to repay the state of Alaska for his medical school tuition. This show revolves around the many people who live in the town. These include Maurice Minnifield, a wealthy former astronaut; Ruth-Anne Miller, the general store owner; Ed Chigliak, an aspiring film-maker and shaman; Holling Vincoeur, the owner of the Brick Tavern; Shelly Tambo, Holling's girlfriend who is an ex-beauty queen; Marilyn Whirlwind, Joel's Native American receptionist; Chris Stevens, Cicely's D.J.; and Maggie O'Connell, a local pilot and Joel's landlady. Jo played two characters who each appeared in one episode, Roslyn and Jane Harris.
